This is to inform all listers that CA is currently working on responses to matters that were raised here regarding the Competition Study and will share the same once done.

Whenever you hear anyone close to the politburo in KE talk about \”stakeholders\”, they almost without doubt mean KEPSA.
KEPSA represents every imaginable stakeholder, even the nonexistent.
Did you hear Matiang\’i say the new curriculum was exhaustively discussed with \”almost\” all stakeholders? Parents have not been consulted. He meant KEPSA 🙂

Who was involved in this wide consultation? I didn\’t see any call for public participation on the CA website
1. The original report by Analysys Mason
2. This revised report
3. Details on when the \”wide consultations\” happened, who attended, what was discussed there and documentation of who made what comments.
This is not a matter of national security so these details need to be in the public domain. It\’s ridiculous that these things are still under wraps after all this time.

Is this headline misleading or what? 🙂
A revised competition report by the telecommunications industry regulator has dropped the controversial proposal calling for the splitting of Safaricom into separate business units, drawing the ire of its rivals.
Airtel, Kenya’s second-biggest telecommunications company after Safaricom, hit out at the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), saying failure to finalise the dominance debate and watering down of the report was hurting the smaller operators.

I don\’t know about you but I personally would love to get a glimpse of this \’revised report\’.
I hope someone from CA is listening and remembering that we have a right to that report..At least that\’s what the constitution tells us.. 🙂
