Online violence in times of Covid-19
Dear Listers,
We hope everyone has had a great week, zooming, Facebooking, Googling,
Skyping, Meeting among other great digital tools that have enabled us keep
in touch with each other.
However, how many of us are aware of the flip side of embracing all these
useful tools which is online violence against women and girls?
Ms. Cecilia Maundu, in our weekend read, describes: Online violence as \”a
global virus\” \”that is threatening the “digital citizenship” of women
making it extremely hard towards efforts being made in closing the digital
gender divide..\”
