Mozilla working on kiswahili speech recognition

Kudos to Mozilla! A step in the right direction.

Language is a medium of communication, the wider it is spoken the wider we
should spread the net of its accessibility. Of late we have seen Kiswahili
being admitted as a recognised language in African Union circles
<www.eac.int/press-releases/1513-au-partners-with-the-eac-to-promote-kiswahili-as-a-language-of-wider-communication-in-africa>,
South Africa has introduced it in its curriculum
<www.theeastafrican.co.ke/tea/news/east-africa/kiswahili-goes-to-school-in-south-africa-1434586#:~:text=South%20Africa%20has%20become%20the,with%20French%2C%20German%20and%20Mandarin.>
thus
its important to have resources in and be able to develop more resources in
the language.

As we used to sing them days… Kiswahili kitukuzwe

Can\’t wait for the day that I attend an online event and I can just roll
off in Swa not worrying that others would float 😀
