Expert on AI Policies

Dear Partners
If you know an expert with the following qualifications, please share with me their CVs before this Friday (March 8th) 12pm for consideration.

1. Minimum a master’s degree in either ICTs &Telecommunication , Computer Science law, public policy, governance or development.
2. 15 years of professional experience in developing and implementing national and regional digital policies and programs with a focus on emerging technologies.
3. 10 years experience in developing AI policies , plans and strategies .
4. More than 10 years of experience in developing and implementing projects in Africa (region) and collaboration with international organizations working on digital policy incl. NGOs, international organizations, academia, public and private actors.
5. Sound interpersonal and communication skills are required.
6. Excellent presentation skills are required, both orally and in writing.
7. Working knowledge of English or French (written and spoken). Knowledge of the two is an advantage.
8. Ability to work as part of a team, in close cooperation with different stakeholders is required.

  1. You are ideally looking for a consultant, if you are looking for an
    African.
    The digital policy skills gap is real, we are developing more talent with
    the Africa Digital Policy Fellowship at the Lawyers Hub.
    I wanted to flag this off as this skills conversation was key at the AU
    OECD Dialogue in Paris this week. A German at 27 has ost of these skills at
    PHD thanks to subsidised education, Erasmus scholarships and EU Horizon
    research.
    May we be that continent that makes education accessible for all.
