Pyxis, a fintech company is finalizing the integration with Alipay,
enabling Kenyan traders to make payments up to $70,000 on WeChat, China’s
dominant social media and payment platform.
Pyxis’ service is expected to provide a more convenient and cost-effective
alternative to traditional banking platforms. Safaricom is also
implementing integration of of Mpesa payments with AliPay.
Very interesting!

Very interesting. As we wait for that integration via Mpesa and Pyxis
launch in Kenya (they have to get CBK licensing for an MTO license or
operate with already licensed partners like WapiPay that are already
focused on the Afro-Asia Corridor), you can just go to Ali Express
<http://www.aliexpress.com/>, which is owned by Alibaba, and transact, get
stuff delivered to your shop or home, and the pricing…Weuh! Disruption is
here for real!

The pricing is amazing on Ali Express until you go to checkout and see the
high cost of freight….
