Call for Workshop Proposals: Africa Tech Policy Summit 2025

Dear Listers,
This is a kind reminder that the *Africa Tech Policy Summit (AfTPS) 2025*
is inviting workshop proposals on key thematic areas in technology
governance and policy. The deadline for submissions is *April 7, 2025, at
23:59 EAT*.
The *AfTPS* will take place from *May 12-16, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya*,
bringing together policymakers, private sector leaders, academia, civil
society, and tech startups to collaborate on *harmonizing technology
policies across Africa*. The workshops will provide hands-on discussions
and insights into pressing tech policy issues shaping Africa’s digital
future.
*Thematic Areas for Workshops*
*1. AI Governance* – Ethical and responsible AI frameworks ensuring
societal impact.
*2.* *Data Policy* – Privacy, data protection, and governance for a secure
digital environment.
*3*. *Digital Inclusion* – Strategies to bridge digital divides and ensure
equitable access.
*4. Keeping the Internet On* – Tackling connectivity disruptions from
economic, political, and social perspectives.
*5. Sector-Specific Tech Policy Dialogues* – Healthcare, education,
fintech, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and more.
*6.* *Information Integrity & Content Moderation* – Addressing
misinformation and online safety.
We encourage you to *submit your workshop proposal before the deadline* and
contribute to shaping Africa’s tech policy landscape.
