This in my view is definitely not a wise decision from the Court of Appeal. I hope the Communications Authority dropped the planned DMS, or have found a better solution to counterfeit devices that doesn\’t violate privacy laws or compromise user privacy. Also, that the CA can invite public participation of stakeholders on their plans on tackling counterfeit devices.

Listers,

This issue was discussed extensively on the list a few years back. The verdict is out and i beleive legal mechanisms are in place to support implementation.
